Keywords:If you are pregnant, you are entitled to two ultrasound examinations free of charge (early pregnancy ultrasound examination during gestational weeks 11+0 to 13+6 and a structural ultrasound examination during gestational weeks 19 to 21).
The ultrasound examinations are voluntary. In the early pregnancy ultrasound examination, it is also possible to perform a nuchal translucency scan associated with chromosomal aberrations of the fetus, as well as take a blood sample. In some of the high-risk pregnancies, the examinations are carried out by a specialist, in which case a fee will be charged for the appointment.
The duration of the screening scan is 30 minutes.
