ARRIVE WELL IN ADVANCE FOR THE EXAMINATION
• It is best to come for the examination in the morning, as our X-ray department is often busy in the afternoon.
• If you come in the afternoon, please arrive well before closing time. We do not perform examinations after 3:30 p.m.
• On busy days, we unfortunately cannot guarantee that we will be able to examine everyone who has registered before closing time.
In the Iso Omena X-ray unit, we perform plain X-ray examinations without appointments.
- We conduct examinations for customers of HUS area health centers and hospitals.
- Bone X-ray
- Chest X-ray
- Dental X-ray
- Our X-ray unit is located at the Iso Omena Shopping Center.
- If you are visually impaired or otherwise need help finding your way, ask for help from the guards at the info desk on the 3rd floor.
- Iso Omena laboratory is located in the same premises.
- Register in the waiting room at the self-registration kiosk when you arrive at the X-ray unit.
- We do not have a patient lift, e.g., to transfer patients from a wheelchair to an examination table.
You are free to choose your X-ray location
Once you receive a referral to HUS for skeletal, chest, or dental X-ray examinations, you are free to choose the imaging unit where you go for the examinations. Most X-ray units do not require booking an appointment.
How do I prepare for examinations and where do I get the results?
Examinations always require a referral. See here for more information on preparing for examinations, on receiving the results, and instructions on ordering copies of your images.
