Gynecology and Obstetrics Ward, Hyvinkää Hospital
Keywords:In the Gynecology and Obstetrics Ward at Hyvinkää Hospital, we treat gynecological patients and families after childbirth.
On our ward, we treat gynecological patients who arrive from surgical procedures and the emergency clinic and require inpatient care. Gynecological patients are treated in single and double rooms. Our skilled, multi-professional staff is here for you.
On our ward, you can take some time to get to know your new family member and recover from childbirth. We provide guidance in caring for a baby and breastfeeding, encouraging self-sufficiency. We also have the Baby Journey digital care pathway in use. It provides answers to frequently asked questions. We are committed to the Baby-Friendly Initiative of WHO and UNICEF.
Rooms for postpartum women are single rooms, which are also suitable as family rooms. In our family rooms, you can bring your spouse or other support person to stay with you for the duration of your hospital stay. In a family room, both the person who has given birth and the support person will be invoiced for the daily hospital fee for the treatment days.
Newborns in need of special monitoring are treated on the Pediatric Ward in Hyvinkää Hospital. We use the Couplet Care model, where the family is allowed on the Pediatric Ward to care for their newborn.
At Postnatal Appointments, we provide care and guidance to families of newborns after discharge from the hospital. If your baby needs a follow-up visit within the first two weeks, we will schedule an appointment at Postnatal Appointments before you are discharged from hospital.
