Coronary Care Unit, Meilahti Tower Hospital

In the Coronary Care Unit in Meilahti Tower Hospital, we treat patients requiring monitoring, such as patients with myocardial infarction, arrhythmia or heart failure, and cardiac surgery patients before and after surgery.

The treatment periods on our ward are short. From our unit, you will usually be transferred to a ward, another hospital or to a surgery and intensive care unit for further treatment. Our unit’s activities are mostly of an emergency nature.

In our unit, we train future healthcare professionals. We hope that you allow the students to participate in your care. Consent or refusal will not affect the care and treatment you receive.

To ensure our patients receive the treatment and rest they need to recover, we kindly ask visitors to keep their visits short.

Please do not wear fragrances in our unit. Please do not bring flowers to our ward.
