The unit is closed from Friday to Monday, April 18, 2025 - April 21, 2025, and on Thursday, May 1, 2025.
In the Meilahti Tower Hospital X-ray unit, we perform plain X-ray examinations without an appointment and other examinations with an appointment.
- Please note that emergency patients requiring urgent care will be served first, so other patients may need to wait.
- We perform examinations for HUS hospital customers aged 16 and older.

You will be given an appointment for the examination and you will be informed of the appointment by letter.
- Our X-ray unit is located at the Meilahti Tower Hospital.
- Come in through the main entrance of Meilahti Hospital and follow the black line.
- If you are visually impaired, register at the information desk at the main entrance of Meilahti Hospital. From there you will be picked up for an X-ray.
- Register at the X-ray unit when you arrive.
- If your examinations are performed in the evening, you will find marked signs at the registration desk to help you in finding the right waiting room.
- We have a patient lift, e.g., to transfer patients from a wheelchair to an examination table.
- Please call us in advance if you need to use a patient lift.
You are free to choose your X-ray location
Once you receive a referral to HUS for skeletal, chest, or dental X-ray examinations, you are free to choose the imaging unit where you go for the examinations. Most X-ray units do not require booking an appointment.
