In the occupational therapy at Porvoo Hospital, we carry out functional capacity assessments, prepare individual hand orthoses, guide scar care, and provide advice on ergonomics and assistive devices.
With occupational therapy, you have the opportunity to learn new ways of managing everyday tasks despite your illness, and this will allow you to significantly improve your self-esteem and quality of life.
An appointment with an occupational therapist always requires a physician's referral.
We train future health care professionals in our unit. We hope that you will allow students to participate in your care. Consenting or refusing student participation will not affect your care.
