- Our X-ray unit is located at the Porvoo Hospital.
- Come in through the emergency department's entrance and follow the signs inside.
- We have a patient lift, e.g., to transfer patients from a wheelchair to an examination table.
- Please call us in advance if you need to use a patient lift.
Appointment booking instructions
- You can make an appointment by calling our customer service 09 471 80900 Mon–Fri 8:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
- Register at the emergency X-ray on the second floor when you arrive at the X-ray unit.
- You can make an appointment by calling 019 548 2279 Monday–Thursday 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. and Friday 9:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m.
- Starting from July 8, 2025, we will perform scoliosis and mechanical axis imaging on Tuesday afternoons with booked appointments.
- You can book an appointment by calling 019 548 2279.
- Phone service is available Monday to Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and on Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
- You will be given an appointment for the examination and you will be informed of the appointment by letter.
You are free to choose your X-ray location
Once you receive a referral to HUS for skeletal, chest, or dental X-ray examinations, you are free to choose the imaging unit where you go for the examinations. Most X-ray units do not require booking an appointment.

How do I prepare for examinations and where do I get the results?
