Dermatologic Procedure Unit, Skin and Allergy Hospital
Keywords:The treatment and diagnostics of skin cancers and their precursors has been centralized in the Dermatologic Procedure Unit at the Skin and Allergy Hospital in Meilahti. We treat the majority of all skin cancer patients in the HUS area.
The treatment of skin cancers is mainly surgical, and we also have the possibility to perform so-called Mohs surgery, or margin-controlled surgery.
We treat skin cancer precursors with cryotherapy, photodynamic therapy (PDT), and cream treatments. We also have a carbon dioxide laser and a vascular laser for the treatment of congenital vessel abnormalities, among other things.
Patients come to our outpatient clinic with a referral.
