Women's Hospital - Units

At the appointment for those who have given birth at Women's Hospital, we provide advice and guidance to the families with newborns. We also make midwife's house calls at the homes of the families.

In the Emergency Department of the Women's Hospital, we treat women who are pregnant, have just given birth or have a gynecological problem and are in need of urgent care.

In our Family Nest Hotel, we provide postpartum care for healthy new mothers and their newborns based on individual needs. The Family Nest Hotel is located at Hotel Scandic Meilahti, and it is part of the services of Women’s Hospital.

In Gynecological Inpatient Ward 30, we treat gynecological patients who arrive from surgical procedures and the emergency clinic and require care on the inpatient ward. We also treat abortions, miscarriages, and infections. In addition, we treat patients in our ambulatory surgery unit.

At the Gynecological Outpatient Clinic, we treat and examine many gynecological diseases. We also perform procedures and abortions.

Women’s Hospital has two labor units called Luotsi and Aallokko. We offer all our patients family-centered, individual, high-quality care.

At the Maternity Outpatient Clinic in Women’s Hospital, we treat pregnant women who need special monitoring.

On Maternity Ward 61 at Women’s Hospital, we treat women who have given birth and their newborns. We provide individual guidance on caring for the baby, breastfeeding, and on recovering from childbirth.

In the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Saari at Women's Hospital, we treat premature babies and full-term infants in need of intensive care.

In the Neonatal Outpatient Clinic Saari at Women's Hospital, we treat children under the age of one.
