Changes in the number of births are reflected in the number of births per hospital. In Lohja Hospital (768 births, -35.24), the total number of childbirths was lower than in the previous year, as there was a summer break in childbirth services which were then permanently relocated to other HUS maternity hospitals at the end of November.
The number of childbirths increased in the Women’s Hospital (8,168 births, +3.65%), at Espoo Hospital (4,422 births, +5.29%), and in Hyvinkää Hospital (2,172 births, 7.58%).
